Asus unveils ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM monitor

ASUS launched the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM gaming monitor at CES 2023. According to ASUS, this is ASUS’s first 27-inch, 1440p, 240Hz OLED display.

PG27AQDM uses a 27-inch OLED panel with a resolution of 2560×1440. Its color space covers 99% of DCI-P3, and the Delta E value is less than 2. It has an ultra-fast response time of 0.03 milliseconds, and the peak brightness of the screen can reach 1000 nits. In addition, PG27AQDM adopts an anti-glare micro-texture coating, which can be used to reduce the reflection caused by surrounding lights, so that it can also have a good display visual experience under different lighting environments.
ASUS said that heat is one of the main reasons for the aging of OLED displays. In order to prolong the service life of PG27AQDM, ASUS designed a new cooling solution for it. ASUS placed a custom heatsink inside and re-layouted the internal components of the monitor to combine with a vent at the top of the monitor to create an even cooling effect across the back of the monitor. Compared to other 27-inch OLED gaming monitors, the PG27AQDM is 5% cooler on average, according to ASUS.

Based on the cooperation between ASUS and panel manufacturers, PG27AQDM adds intelligent voltage optimization. Through intelligent algorithms, the voltage applied to each pixel is optimized according to the system temperature. This ensures consistent brightness across the entire panel, even with multiple windows open. ASUS also launched a new version of the DisplayWidget Center software, which allows users to change display settings more conveniently and intuitively with the mouse.

ASUS has not yet announced the pricing of the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM.
