Following the launch of the ROG Flow X13 with gravity wave as the design concept and supporting an external display card box at the beginning of last year, and the ROG Flow Z13 built in the form of 2 in 1 at the beginning of this year, ASUS has announced the ROG Flow X16, which has been upgraded to a 16-inch Mini LED screen and is designed with a 360-degree reversible screen.
Continuing the previous ROG Flow series with a more flexible usage mode, allowing users to correspond to general notebook usage modes according to their needs, or to improve display performance with an external graphics card box. At the same time, it can also correspond to different operation modes through the 360-degree flip touch screen, so as to meet the general or game usage scenarios, and even correspond to operation modes such as content viewing.
For the hardware part, ROG Flow X16 adopts a 16-inch, 16:10 display ratio, corresponding QHD resolution, 165Hz picture update rate, and 3ms response time, while the peak brightness can reach 1100nits, and meets the VESA DisplayHDR 1000 standard Mini LED screen. The processor adopts AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS, equipped with DDR5-4800Hz memory, the cooling system adopts ROG Intelligent Cooling design, and the body thickness is designed with 19.4mm, the body weight is 2 kg, and it also supports stylus input.
The display part, with the new MUX Switch external graphics card box, can support up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti and operates at a thermal design power of 165W. At the same time, the MUX Switch external graphics card box itself is also equipped with a 330W power supply transformer. It weighs 1.2 kg and has a thickness of 32mm. It is connected to the PCIe 3 x 8 interface and built-in RJ-45 network port, HDMI and DisplayPort output, and interface design such as a USB port.
In other respects, ROG Flow X16 is equipped with a video camera that supports HD picture quality and Windows Hello, Wi-Fi 6E, Dolby Vision, and Dolby Atmos sound technology. Its own battery specification corresponds to 90Wh, and it supports a fast-charging function that can be charged from 0% to 50% in half an hour.
In terms of the suggested price, the ROG Flow X16 will start at $1,950, and the highest-end specification will be priced at $2,700.
