Asus PB63 small desktop computer features 13th generation Core processor
The Asus PB63, a mini-PC based on the Intel B760 chipset, caters to 13th-generation Intel Core processors within the 35W to 65W range. As a commercial device, it boasts compact dimensions of 175 x 175 x 44.2 mm and is considered an upgraded version of the PB62 released two years ago. While Asus has yet to officially launch this model, Liliputing has discovered an overview of the device on its official website.
With upgrades to the motherboard and supported processors, the PB63 has also substantially increased its maximum memory and storage capacity. It can support up to 64GB (32GB x2) of DDR5 memory, and with high-end processors like the i7 and i9, it can reach a frequency of DDR5-6500. The PB63 includes two M.2 2280 slots, each supporting up to 2TB PCIe 4 NVMe drives. Moreover, it supports 2.5-inch SATA drives, provided they do not exceed 7mm in thickness. The network card configuration offers either Intel AX200 Wi-Fi 6 or Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E.
In terms of I/O, the PB63 is quite comprehensive. It includes:
- 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A
- 2 x USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A
- 3 x USB 2.0
- 2 x DisplayPort 1.4
- 1 x Gigabit Ethernet
- 1 x 3.5mm mic input
- 1 x 3.5mm combo audio
- 1 x DC power input
However, it is somewhat disappointing that despite being a computer based on the 13th generation Core, the PB63 does not come equipped with any Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 ports. Asus also offers a number of customizable options for it, such as the addition of an HDMI, DP 2.1, VGA, 2.5GbE LAN, or a COM port in terms of I/O.
Asus has yet to disclose more details about the PB63, so its release date and pricing remain undisclosed.
