ASUS officially unveiled the ROG NUC at CES 2024

Ever since ASUS took over Intel’s NUC business, anticipation has been building for the powerful products they would introduce. The wait is finally over as ASUS officially unveiled the ROG NUC at CES 2024. This mini gaming PC, boasting a mere 2.5-liter chassis volume, is the first of its kind to feature the Core Ultra 9 and RTX 40 series graphics card.

The ROG NUC can be equipped with the high-end Core Ultra 9 185H processor, featuring a 6P+8E+2LPE design, totaling 22 threads, and possesses a 24MB L3 cache with a peak turbo frequency of 5.1GHz. It inherits the integrated graphics based on the Arc Xe-LPG architecture. This processor is unique in the Core Ultra family, being the only one with a default TDP of 45W, which can be boosted up to 65W.

Additionally, the ROG NUC is outfitted with an RTX 4070 dedicated graphics card, with a TGP of 115W and the capability to dynamically boost up to 140W. It comes with dual-channel DDR5-5600 32GB*2 memory, expandable up to 128GB, and houses three PCIe 4.0 x4 M.2 interfaces. There’s also a version featuring the Core Ultra 7 155H processor paired with an RTX 4060 dedicated graphics card.

The design of the ROG NUC allows for both vertical and horizontal placement, and its tool-free design makes upgrades effortless. The top cover can be easily removed without a screwdriver, and the ROG logo is an LED screen, customizable for displaying various images.

In terms of ports, the front panel includes an SD card reader, two USB 10Gbps Type-A ports, and a 3.5mm headphone/microphone jack. The rear panel features a Thunderbolt 4 port, two USB 10Gbps Type-A ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI, two DP 1.4a ports, a 2.5G LAN, and a DC input port. It is equipped with an Intel Killer WiFi 6E 2×2 wireless network card and uses a 330W power adapter. The dimensions of the machine are 144*112*41mm, weighing 800g. The specific pricing and release date have not yet been disclosed.
