ASUS launches NUC 14 Performance mini PC

In October of last year, ASUS and Intel officially signed an agreement finalizing the transfer of the NUC product line. According to the agreement, ASUS will manufacture, sell, and support Intel’s 10th to 13th generation NUC product line, as well as develop and design future NUC systems. At CES 2024 earlier this year, ASUS officially launched the ROG NUC mini gaming PC, equipped with Intel Core Ultra processors and NVIDIA RTX 40 series graphics cards, which has recently gone on sale.

Recently, ASUS has listed the NUC 14 Performance mini PC on its official website. Compared to the ROG NUC, the NUC 14 Performance features a more subdued and simple design, lacking the iconic ROG logo and the glowing eye, but maintaining the same overall dimensions of 27 x 18 x 5 cm and the same vertical stand. It is currently available in two configurations: Core Ultra 9 185H with RTX 4070 and Core Ultra 7 155H with RTX 4060. However, the memory support frequency has been reduced from DDR5-5600 to DDR5-4400, and the motherboard model might differ, suggesting the possibility of other minor changes.

The NUC 14 Performance appears to be a derivative of the ROG NUC, but with a focus more on business use rather than gaming. For insights into the internal components and actual performance of the ROG NUC, refer to our review of the ROG NUC 760 mini PC, which should provide valuable information about the NUC 14 Performance.

The NUC 14 Performance’s external expansion interfaces include one Thunderbolt 4, one HDMI 2.1, two DP1.4a ports supporting four-screen output, two USB 2.0, four USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports, a 2.5G Ethernet port, and a 3.5mm audio jack, as well as an SD card reader slot. Internally, it offers two SO-DIMM slots supporting up to 64GB (32GB*2) of DDR5-4400 memory and three M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 x4 slots, equipped with a Killer wireless card supporting Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3. The power adapter remains the same as the ROG NUC, rated at 330W.

Currently, ASUS has not announced the release date or pricing for the NUC 14 Performance.
