Asus brings new Zenbook S 13 OLED ultrabook

ASUS is poised to introduce the latest Zenbook S 13 OLED (UX5304) ultrabook, with a thickness of merely 1.09 cm and weighing approximately 1 kg, which is thinner and lighter than existing models featuring AMD Ryzen 6000 series APUs (weighing 1.1 kg) and surpassing Apple’s MacBook Air with the M2 chip.

As reported by TomsHardware, the new Zenbook S 13 OLED measures 296.2mm x 216.3mm x 10.9mm and is equipped with an Intel Core i7-1355U processor, integrated with Iris Xe graphics, 32GB of LPDDR5-6000 memory, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 SSD. The device boasts a 13.3-inch “Lumina” OLED display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, a resolution of 2880 x 1800, a peak brightness of 550 nits, 100% DCI-P3 color gamut, Pantone, DisplayHDR True Black 500, and TÜV Rheinland certification, supporting Dolby Vision.

To achieve a sleeker design, the Zenbook S 13 OLED optimizes its structure and circuit board design, employing a unique aluminum oxide material for its chassis, which boasts excellent wear resistance. Embracing eco-friendliness, the product utilizes recycled metals and plastics in its construction, reducing its carbon footprint by over 50% and featuring plastic-free, glue-free FSC-certified paper packaging. Despite these changes, the device’s performance remains unaffected, as it has passed MIL-STD 810H testing in the United States.

The new Zenbook S 13 OLED supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, offering two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A port, one HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. ASUS claims that the built-in 63 WHr battery provides up to 14 hours of battery life, with a rapid-charging design capable of replenishing 70% of the battery in just 49 minutes.

The ultrabook is priced at $1,399.99.
