ASRock launches Arc A770 Phantom Gaming 16GB OC
At last year’s Intel Innovation Summit, ASRock, a partner of Intel’s graphics card, showcased several of its stunning A750/A770 graphics cards, followed by the subsequent release of the A770 Phantom Gaming OC and the A750 Challenger OC.
Recently, ASRock introduced the A770 Phantom Gaming 16GB OC, which is now available on e-commerce platforms with a displayed price of $329.99. The sudden release of the new graphics card without any prior promotion was somewhat unexpected. Interestingly, when the 8GB memory products were initially launched, ASRock stated that the A770 Phantom Gaming would not have a 16GB memory version.
The A770 Phantom Gaming 16GB OC retains the cooling solution used in ASRock’s own product series, featuring five 6mm nickel-plated copper heat pipes, a copper base in contact with the GPU, and three dual ball-bearing fans. Additionally, it includes RGB lighting effects. The card is equipped with the ACM-G10 chip, which has 32 Xe-HPG architecture Xe cores, with a core frequency of 2.2GHz. It is furnished with 16GB GDDR6 memory with a memory width of 256 bits and a memory speed of 17.5 Gbps, powered by dual 8Pin connectors. Apart from three DisplayPort 2.0 interfaces, ASRock also offers one HDMI 2.1 interface, indicating the use of a protocol converter chip that converts one DisplayPort 2.0 interface into an HDMI 2.1 interface.
There have been recent reports that Intel’s Arc A770 Limited Edition will be discontinued, but other partners will still provide Arc cards equipped with the same GPU and 16GB memory. In reality, the Arc A750 and Arc A770 graphics cards available in the market are primarily 8GB memory versions, with the latter also offering a large-capacity 16GB memory version. However, the available models and supply are limited, with only MSI and Acer offering this specific product. With the release of the ASRock A770 Phantom Gaming 16GB OC graphics card, gamers are presented with an expanded range of choices.
