ASRock launches 4X4 BOX-5000 series mini PC with AMD Ryzen 5000U series APU
ASRock announced the launch of the 4X4 BOX-5000 series mini PC, equipped with AMD Ryzen 5000U series APU. The 4X4 BOX-5000 series is divided into three products: 4X4 BOX-5800U, 4X4 BOX-5600U, and 4X4 BOX-5400U corresponding to Ryzen 7 5800U, Ryzen 5 5600U, and Ryzen 3 5400U, with a maximum configuration of 8 cores and 16 threads.
The overall size of the 4X4 BOX-5000 series is 110.0 x 117.5 x 47.85 mm and the weight is 1kg, making it very compact. It is equipped with an APU built by AMD based on the Zen 3 architecture, which has a greater performance improvement than previous Zen 2 architecture products. At the same time, the integrated Radeon graphics card has been improved, and its idle power consumption is only 6.7W. The 4X4 BOX-5000 series supports up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM memory, provides an M.2 2280 (Key M) slot and a SATA 3.0 for storage expansion, equipped with four display outputs, including one HDMI 2.0a and three DisplayPort 1.2a (including two from the Type-C interface), all support 4096 x 2160@60Hz displays.
The 4X4 BOX-5000 series also provides one USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-A) interface, two USB 3.2 Gen2 (Type-C) interfaces, two USB 2.0 interfaces, an audio jack, and there are two network card interfaces, one is 2.5 Gigabit (Realtek RTL8125BG), the other is 1 Gigabit (R8111FPV) with Dash function, and the wireless module is installed through M.2 Key E, which can support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
In addition, the 4X4 BOX-5000 series has an onboard TPM 2.0 module that supports Windows 11 and VESA installation. The mini PC can be mounted to the back of the monitor to save desk space. It is not yet clear when the 4X4 BOX-5000 series mini PC will be available and the price.
