Apple will bring new AirPods Max and AirPods next year

In the twilight of 2020, Apple unveiled the AirPods Max available in a quintet of sophisticated hues: space gray, silver, sky blue, green, and pink. This piece heralded Apple’s inaugural foray into over-ear wireless headphones, expanding the AirPods repertoire once more. Yet, this premium line has remained untouched since, with nearly three years having elapsed.

Recent murmurs from industry analysts suggest that Apple’s subsequent major auditory innovation is slated for 2024, likely unveiling a revamped AirPods Max and AirPods in the latter half of the year. Come 2025, the AirPods Pro are expected to join the renewal.

The forthcoming AirPods Max iteration is anticipated to showcase a pantheon of fresh color choices, imbuing it with a novel aesthetic charm. It is also poised to house a new-generation chipset, refining its bespoke acoustic architecture, and elevating the auditory experience. In addition, a shift to the USB-C interface is expected, promising brisker charging velocities and potentially extending the battery’s longevity.

It is whispered that Apple intends to gradually phase out the second and third-generation AirPods, pivoting instead to two distinct “fourth-generation AirPods” at varied price points. The premium variant of the fourth-generation AirPods is projected to possess active noise-cancellation capabilities reminiscent of the AirPods Pro. Conversely, the more affordable counterpart appears to be an amalgamation of the current AirPods and AirPods Pro, featuring a truncated stem and a simplified suite of features.

The third-generation AirPods Pro are believed to be undergoing a comprehensive design overhaul, optimizing wear comfort. Coupled with a more efficient chipset, they are set to introduce groundbreaking functionalities. Rumors abound that Apple might infuse health-related features, potentially transforming the third-generation AirPods Pro into hearing aids.
