Apple co-founder Wozniak recommends everyone should remove their Facebook account
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak suggested that most people remove the Facebook app. The 68-year-old engineer and entrepreneur said:
“There are many different kinds of people, and some, the benefits of Facebook are worth the loss of privacy, but to many like myself, my recommendation is — to most people — is you should figure out a way to get off Facebook.”
Wozniak believes that Facebook and its competitors should give users the option to protect their privacy. “I’m worried about everything,” Wozniak said. “I don’t think we can stop it, though. … I mean, they can measure your heartbeat with lasers now. They can listen to you with a lot of devices. Who knows if my cellphone’s listening right now?”
Facebook did not immediately respond to requests for comment from reporters. According to reports, in April 2018, Wozniak had already deleted his Facebook account, and now after a year later, he once again called for the public to uninstall Facebook app.
