Anker launches 3D printer AnkerMake M5

Makers and DIY players should all know that the printing speed of consumer-grade 3D printers is very slow. However, the well-known charging head brand Anker is ready to change this situation. They recently announced a 3D printer AnkerMake M5, claiming to have a printing speed 5 times faster than competing products.

Anker introduced that AnkerMake M5 uses a set of PowerBoost drive systems, the stepping motor can reach a standard speed of 250mm/s and an acceleration of 2500mm/s², which reduces the printing time by 70% compared to competing products, and it maintains 0.1mm accuracy at even faster speeds, earning a high score of 25.5 in the Autodesk Kickstarter Geometry FDMtest.

This print quality benefits from Anker’s redesigned ultra-direct extruder, which has three steps from melting the material to extrusion to cooling. All have double the performance compared to other products, and the one-piece all-aluminum American alloy base and Z-axis design ensure that the bracket can also provide good stability when the motor moves quickly and accelerated.

In addition, AnkerMake M5 not only has a built-in Marlin CPU control chip but also an additional XBurst CPU auxiliary chip, with a 1080p camera. It can track and monitor the printing status of the mold, stop printing and issue an alarm when an error occurs. Of course, the operation of this machine can be controlled on a mobile app or on the touch screen of the fuselage.

In other respects, AnkerMake M5 can print up to 235*235*250mm molds, can be assembled in 3 steps quickly, and supports continuous printing after power failure. Anker has already started crowdfunding on Kickstarter. The early bird price of one is $599, which is not very expensive, so it has far exceeded the target fundraising.
