AMD will launch the Ryzen 7000 with 3D V-Cache this year
Some time ago, it was reported that AMD will sell Zen 4 architecture Ryzen 7000 series processors on September 15. Since this date was leaked at the channel communication meeting, it should be more reliable, and at AMD’s 2022 Financial Analyst Day event some time ago, Saeid Moshkelani, AMD’s senior vice president and general manager of customers, who pointed out at the conference that AMD will bring the Ryzen 7000 processor with 3D V-Cache later in 2022.
Most of the previous news pointed out that AMD will not release Zen 4 processors with 3D V-Cache until 2023. Now, AMD has confirmed that the product will be launched in 2022, which means that the version with 3D V-Cache will be launched within 3 months after the launch of the standard Ryzen 7000. Most of late 2022 that AMD refers to is December this year, at most November, which should be used by AMD as a secret weapon against Intel Raptor Lake.
In fact, AMD has proved that their 3D V-ache technology is very powerful with the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which brings a considerable improvement in game performance and is a powerful weapon against Intel processors. AMD’s Zen 4 architecture may not have a very high IPC improvement compared to Zen 3, due to the large increase in processor frequency and the power of 3D V-Cache, it may make AMD take the lead in game performance compared with Intel’s Raptor Lake. Although Raptor Lake has also increased the internal cache, the increase is not as large as AMD’s use of 3D V-Cache, and the two will definitely bring an interesting battle at the end of the year.
