AMD will launch the RX 7600 XT graphics card on May 25th

Prior reports have indicated that AMD’s partners are preparing mid-range graphics cards based on the RDNA 3 architecture, with plans to showcase the Radeon RX 7600 series at Computex 2023. Featuring Navi 33, this implies that the new graphics cards could potentially be released within the next two months. In fact, the actual launch of these cards may occur even sooner, with the RX 7600 XT rumored to go on sale on May 25th.

According to Moore’s Law is Dead, AMD RX 7600 XT embargo schedule states that the company will send media samples of the RX 7600 XT on May 15th, with reviews approaching on May 24th, and the card’s release date set for May 25th. Furthermore, AMD has followed NVIDIA’s example in differentiating the embargo dates for graphics cards adhering to the recommended retail price from those priced above it, with the latter’s embargo date set one day later.

The AMD Radeon RX 7600 XT is equipped with 32 CUs, 2,048 stream processors, a 32MB Infinity Cache, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The memory bandwidth is 128-bit, with a memory speed of 18 Gbps, gaming and boost frequencies of approximately 2.5 GHz and 2.8 GHz respectively, an FP32 compute performance of 23 TFLOPs, and a total card power consumption of 180W. The Radeon RX 7600 features 28 CUs, a reduced number of 1,792 stream processors, a 32MB Infinity Cache, and 8GB of GDDR6 memory. The memory bandwidth is 128-bit, with a memory speed of 16 Gbps, gaming and boost frequencies of around 2.3 GHz and 2.6 GHz respectively, an FP32 compute performance of 18.6 TFLOPs, and a total card power consumption of 140W. The Radeon RX 7600 is equipped with 8GB of GDDR6 memory, identical to the existing Radeon RX 6650 XT, with a memory bandwidth of 128-bit. It is understood that the Radeon RX 7600’s core frequency will exceed 2.6 GHz.

Interestingly, NVIDIA also plans to release the RTX 4060 graphics card next month, which will directly compete with AMD’s offering. However, it is currently unclear if the positioning of these two desktop variants will be identical.
