AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series specifications leaked

It was previously reported that AMD’s Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series, codenamed Chagall Pro, will launch on March 8, 2022. The new HEDT products are a bit late, it has been more than a year since the release of the earliest Zen 3 architecture Ryzen processors, and there has been much news of delays during this period. Unlike in the past, this generation won’t have a non-Pro model.

According to VideoCardz, AMD has revealed the specifications of the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series to some media. It uses an sWRX8 socket and should be compatible with existing motherboards, AMD will provide five products, 64 cores, 32 cores, 24 cores, 16 cores, and 12 cores, with a TDP of 280W. The P0 power range is from 170W to 260W, the base clock is from 2700 MHz to 4100 MHz, and the boost clock of different models is 4500 MHz.

Compared with the previous generation, a 24-core model has been added, but there is still no 48-core model. That is, the base clock of the 12- and 16-core products has been increased by 100 MHz, and the base clock of the 32-core product has been increased by 300 MHz. From Zen 2 architecture to Zen 3 architecture, coupled with the increase in clock, it is believed that the new generation of products will have a certain degree of performance improvement.
