AMD Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series are rumored to be released on March 8, 2022
Previously, AMD Ryzen Threadripper 5000 series (Chagall) and Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series (Chagall Pro) processors have been released several times, but they have been postponed many times. The difference between the two is that the Chagall is four-channel DDR-3200 memory/64 PCI-E 4.0 channels, while the Chagall Pro is eight-channel DDR-3200 memory/128 PCI-E 4.0 channels.
According to VideoCardz reports, AMD will launch the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series processors on March 8, 2022. In fact, the top Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5945WX once appeared on the benchmark platform, with a specification of 64 cores and 128 threads, and the platform code name is “Sharkstooth-CGL”. Rumor has it that many AMD partners think that the Ryzen Threadripper processor based on the Zen 3 architecture came too late, more than a year later than the earliest Zen 3 architecture product. There are rumors that the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series will also use 3D vertical cache (3D V-Cache) technology.
If the news is true, AMD may announce the Ryzen Threadripper Pro 5000 series at the next CES 2022 exhibition.
