AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U and Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U appear in PassMark

AMD’s two new notebook processors appeared in PassMark, the AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U and the AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U. Both CPUs are based on Zen 3+. They are all designed to be used on thin and light notebooks, and they are better than Intel Core i7-1260P in terms of CPU Mark scores, and the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U is even more outrageous.

AMD Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U is an 8-core 16-thread CPU with 28W TDP. Although the Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U also has a TDP of 28W, the number of cores is 2 less than the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U, with only 6 cores and 12 threads. Both CPUs achieved good single-core scores and better multi-core scores in PassMark’s simulated Benchmark.

Let’s first take a look at the performance of the Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U. Compared with the previous generation Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U, the Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U is 10.67% ahead and 21.06% ahead in single-core and multi-core respectively. Since the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U only has a TDP of 15W, it is of course that the 28W Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U has improved performance. Compared with Intel’s Core i7-1260P, the Ryzen 5 PRO 6650U has only a 3.75% advantage in single-core, but it is 13.2% ahead in the overall multi-core CPU Mark.

The performance of the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U is even more eye-catching. The single-core score of this CPU is 3442 points, while the multi-core score is 24352 points. Compared with the Core i7-1260P, it leads by 12.04% and 47.82% respectively. Compared with the 15W Ryzen 7 PRO 5850U of the same level as the previous generation, the Ryzen 7 PRO 6850U also leads the single-core and multi-core advantages by 12.01% and 37.96%.
