AMD officially confirmed that Ryzen 5 7500F is exclusive to China market

A few days ago, AMD unveiled its Ryzen 5 7500F processor. This 6-core, 12-thread product, fortified with cores based on the Zen 4 architecture, carries the suffix “F” just like its Intel counterparts, indicating the absence of integrated graphics. We have already conducted a review of this processor.

Understood to be first launched in the Chinese market, the Ryzen 5 7500F processor will subsequently grace other regions worldwide. As for the specific launch plan of the Ryzen 5 7500F processor, Markus Lindner, AMD’s spokesperson in Germany, has furnished PC Games Hardware with a statement elucidating the situation.

This processor model is slated to hit the market at 9 PM Eastern Time on July 23, 2023. It will be sold in a boxed version in the Greater China region and will be offered as an optional component for specific system integrators in other parts of the world.

While AMD’s official webpage suggests that the Ryzen 5 7500F will be available globally, by the current account, only DIY enthusiasts in the Greater China region will have access to the retail version bundled with the original cooler. Other regions will need to rely on system integrators to procure machines equipped with this processor.

The Ryzen 5 7500F bears striking similarities to the Ryzen 5 7600 in terms of specifications. The former’s base and boost frequencies stand at 3.7 GHz and 5.0 GHz, respectively, a modest 100MHz less than the latter. Both are equipped with 6MB of L2 cache, 32MB of L3 cache and have a TDP of 65W. It is conjectured that the Ryzen 5 7500F may utilize a defective IOD. To prevent any potential detriment to its premium profits, such IODs are unlikely to be employed in the Ryzen 7/9 7000 series products, implying there would not be corresponding products carrying the “F” suffix.
