AMD lowers MSRP for Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards
Nvidia has released the GeForce RTX 40 series graphics cards with the Ada Lovelace architecture. Although it is currently limited to high-end models, it has opened the prelude to the replacement of GPUs. AMD has also confirmed the release time of the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards and will launch the RDNA 3 architecture GPU on November 3, 2022, which means that the Radeon RX 6000 series with the existing RDNA 2 architecture begins to move towards the end of its life cycle.
According to TechPowerup, AMD has lowered the manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of its Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards, with the new price list finalized on September 15 and starting to take effect at retailers. The latest MSRP shows that the Radeon RX 6950 XT, which is a high-end model, is priced at $949, Radeon RX 6900 XT is priced at $699, Radeon RX 6800 XT is priced at $599, and Radeon RX 6800 is priced at $549.
Among the mid-range models, the Radeon RX 6750 XT is $419 and the Radeon RX 6700 XT is $379. The Radeon RX 6650 XT takes the place of the Radeon RX 6600 XT at $299 and the Radeon RX 6600 is $239. The Radeon RX 6500 XT and Radeon RX 6400 are finally back where they belong, as low-end models with MSRP of $169 and $149 respectively.
After this price adjustment, the positioning distribution and price of Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards are more reasonable.
