AMD codenamed Raphael processor rendering updated
Previously, the rendering of AMD Ryzen processor codenamed Raphael has been exposed, let everyone know what this Zen 4 architecture processor using AM5 socket looks like. The specific use of the concave notches on the four sides of the integrated heat sink (IHS) has caused a lot of speculation, after all, it looks a bit strange.
The AM5 socket retains the original 40×40 mm size of the AM4 socket, in addition to changing the socket type from PGA to LGA, the number of pins is also increased to 1,718. As you can see from the previous picture, there is no capacitor on the bottom of the CPU. According to the new rendering released by Twitter user @ExecuFix, the concave notch on the four sides of the Raphael processor IHS will be the location of the capacitor. It is said that the rendering only shows the position of the capacitor and does not mean that the finished capacitor is like this.
This design obviously makes it more difficult to open the cover of the processor, and the internal structure of its IHS has yet to be confirmed. In the end, whether the Raphael processor is really like the rendered image will not be known until the official release.
