AMD announces the global launch of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card
AMD has announced the global launch of the Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card, initially exclusive to the Chinese market, emphasizing its capability to deliver high frame rates and a smooth streaming experience at 1440p resolution. Equipped with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, it offers players an unrivaled smooth 4K gaming experience. The Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics card is slated to hit global markets on February 27th, available through major e-commerce platforms and retailers, with a starting recommended retail price of $549.
Featuring 80 compute units and ray tracing accelerators, coupled with 16GB of GDDR6 memory at an 18Gbps transfer rate, 160 AI accelerators, and 64MB of 2nd generation AMD Infinity Cache memory, its thermal design power is 260W. It boasts a 14% higher performance-per-watt ratio than NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 4070.
Through AMD’s Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) frame generation technology, AMD promises a significant boost in gaming performance, enhancing the gaming experience.
Furthermore, AMD’s HYPR-RX technology simplifies and manages the interaction between AMD Fluid Motion Frames, AMD Radeon Super Resolution (RSR), AMD Radeon Boost, and AMD Anti-Lag technologies, enabling users to effortlessly maximize performance in their gaming endeavors.
AMD emphasizes that the Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards are equipped with the new generation of DisplayPort 2.1, offering more memory design compared to competitors, thus supporting a more modern gaming experience.
Including models from AMD partners such as Acer, ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte, HIS, Sapphire Technology, and XFX, the AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE graphics cards are expected to gradually become available starting February 27th.
Additionally, AMD has reduced the recommended retail price of the Radeon RX 7700 XT to $419, a reduction of over $30 from its original price.
