AMD announces Data Center and AI Technology Premiere event on June 13
AMD has announced an event titled “Data Center and Artificial Intelligence Technology Premiere” to be held on June 13, 2023, showcasing the company’s development strategy, as well as its expanding data center and artificial intelligence product portfolio and capabilities through both live and online streaming. AMD seemingly aspires to accelerate the growth of its artificial intelligence business, following in NVIDIA’s footsteps to reap greater rewards within the burgeoning AI domain.
Dr. Lisa Su, Chairman and CEO of AMD, will join other AMD executives and key clients to provide a detailed overview of new products and the evolving trends in data centers, artificial intelligence, adaptive, and high-performance computing solutions. The event can be viewed on AMD’s website and YouTube channel, with the live stream commencing at 10 a.m. Pacific Time on Tuesday, June 13, 2023.
Previously, during the Q1 2023 earnings call, Dr. Su asserted that AMD has designated artificial intelligence as its top strategic priority and expressed confidence in its capabilities. The company is now actively collaborating with all clients to bring joint solutions to market, including the forthcoming Insight MI300 compute card, Ryzen 7040 series processors equipped with AI engines, and an array of data center SoC/HPC accelerators.
According to AMD, artificial intelligence will create a market even more expansive than the cloud. The next-generation Insight MI300 compute card, set for delivery to initial clients in Q4 2023, will cater to all requirements of the artificial intelligence and supercomputing ecosystem. Furthermore, AMD will leverage Xilinx to drive and accelerate efforts related to AI software and the entire generative AI platform.
