With the unveiling of the new m18 gaming laptop under Dell’s esteemed Alienware banner, AMD has announced its inaugural use of the groundbreaking laptop GPU, Radeon RX 7900M. This chip boasts seamless compatibility with AAA-tier gaming titles, manifesting a display prowess akin to that of a desktop.
According to the intricate details divulged by AMD, the Radeon RX 7900M is architecturally crafted upon the RDNA 3 display paradigm. It seamlessly integrates AMD’s second-generation real-time ray tracing technology and is furnished with support for AV1 encoding capabilities. It is endowed with 72 CU sets, complemented by 64MB Infinity Cache, and can operate at a clock speed soaring up to 1825MHz. Its performance ostensibly lies in the interstice between the Radeon RX 7800XT and the Radeon 7900 GRE.
Furthermore, the Radeon RX 7900M is imbued with a copious 16GB 256bit GDDR6 display memory, thereby accommodating a surfeit of display data computation efficiency.
