Intel has released the S, H, P, and U series of the 12th-generation Core Alder Lake, but according to the previously leaked product roadmap, there is another thing called Alder Lake-H55 that has not come out, which is different from the current Alder Lake-H which will use the core of the existing desktop version of Alder Lake-S, it will have 8 P-Cores and 8 E-Cores, of course, it will not use the package of existing desktop processors.
According to
@KOMACHI_ENSAKA, the official product name of this Alder Lake-H55 is actually Alder Lake-HX, which is estimated to be the HX series for the rival Ryzen mobile processor, which has two more P-Cores than the existing Alder Lake-H. The performance will definitely be much better. The GPU has been reduced from 96 groups of EU to only 32 groups of EU. Basically, it must be used with the independent display. The GPU is only used to improve the battery life.
The base power consumption of Alder Lake-HX is 55W, which is 45W compared to the current base power consumption of Alder Lake-H. The maximum power consumption can reach 115W. It is expected that the maximum power consumption of Alder Lake-HX will definitely be higher than 115W, possibly to 150W. Therefore, the notebook computer to use it must be equipped with a very efficient radiator. According to previously leaked product roadmaps, Alder Lake-HX will have at least one Core i9 and one Core i7 model, both are 8P+8E and are equipped with 32 groups of EU GPU. The model of Core i5 is still uncertain, even if there is, it is only 4P+8E.
