Acer announced the Chromebook 516 GE, a product optimized for cloud gaming. With the Chromebook 516 GE, players can enjoy full PC gaming delivered from the cloud for the ultimate gaming experience.

The Chromebook 516 GE is powered by Intel’s 12th Gen Core i7 processor (Alder Lake-P), paired with 16GB of LPDDR4X memory, and a 256GB PCIe NVMe SSD with the latest features and video decoding technology. Acer equipped the Chromebook 516 GE with a 16-inch IPS screen with a display ratio of 16:10, a resolution of 2560 x 1600, a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a 100% sRGB color gamut.
This laptop has a 2.5Gb network port, supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2, and is also equipped with dual USB-C ports, USB-A ports, and HDMI ports, allowing players to easily achieve network connections and accessories expansion. In addition, the Chromebook 516 GE also features an RGB keyboard with preset backlight modes that gamers can also customize.

Acer says the Chromebook 516 GE offers 9 hours of battery life to ensure players continue to enjoy their games, as well as a full HD camera with noise-canceling technology, as well as dual microphones and speakers for a better gaming experience. As an out-of-the-box product, the Chromebook 516 GE doesn’t require any installation or download, and the “Everything Button” provides access to cloud gaming, and players simply follow the instructions.
The Chromebook 516 GE laptop will be available in the U.S. in October, starting at $649.99, and in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in December, starting at €999.
