Acer launches Swift Edge laptop: 16-inch OLED screen, weighs only 1.17kg

Acer announced the launch of the Swift Edge (SFA16-41) laptop. According to Acer, this is the world’s lightest 16-inch OLED laptop, specially designed for the hybrid office, to maximize users’ productivity and creativity needs, taking into account performance, security and durability.

Acer Swift Edge laptop has a simple and stylish design, using ultra-thin magnesium aluminum alloy material, weighing only 1.17kg and 12.95mm thick, making it more portable and durable. Swift Edge uses a 4K OLED display with a screen ratio of 92%, a resolution of 3840 x 2400, a refresh rate of 90Hz, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, a response time of 0.2ms, and a DCI-P3 color gamut of 100%, and is VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 and TÜV Rheinland Eyesafe certified.

Users can choose AMD Ryzen PRO 6000 series or Ryzen 6000 series processors, through the 6nm process and up to 8 cores of Zen 3+ architecture, improving user work efficiency and collaboration speed. It integrates the Microsoft Pluton security processor by default, which can effectively resist increasingly complex security attacks. AMD PRO technology provides multiple security features with comprehensive manageability options for long-term stability and reliability.

In addition, the Acer Swift Edge laptop also supports Wi-Fi 6E, providing two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports with fast charging, two USB Type-A ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There are also biometrics and a Noble Wedge anti-theft lock slot.

Acer said that the Acer Swift Edge laptop will be available in North America in October, starting at $1,499; in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, the starting price is 1,499 euros;
