Acer launches Spin series at CES 2020 with Intel’s 10th generation Ice Lake processor

While major manufacturers are launching new products in full swing, Acer has also begun to announce product announcements at the CES 2020 International Consumer Electronics Show. Currently, it mainly includes the Spin 3 and Spin 5 series equipped with Windows 10 and Intel’s 10th-generation Ice Lake processors. These two series of variants are designed with 360 ° hinges, with a keyboard but can also be completely turned over for use as a tablet.

Spin 3 and Spin 5 are basically the same in most configurations, such as 360 ° hinge design, touch screen support, active electrostatic technology, and a stylus that supports fast charging. The stylus is located in the bottom storage area. It is therefore very convenient to carry.

The main difference is the size. The thickness of the Spin 5 is 14.9 mm and the thickness of the Spin 3 is 16.9 mm. The body of the Spin 5 made of aluminum-magnesium alloy weighs 2.65 pounds (about 1.20 kg). The Spin 3 has a 14-inch FHD display, and the Spin 5 has a 13.5-inch display with the 2K-level resolution, which may become a competitor to the Microsoft Laptop series.

The general manager of Acer’s IT products business laptop said: For users who want to handle work, study, entertainment and hobbies, the new Acer Spin 3 and Spin 5 are excellent choices. The slim profile and touch display and 360 ° hinge design allow users to switch modes to meet user needs in many different scenarios.

The price varies according to different CPU and memory, hard disk configuration, etc. Among them, Spin 3 is expected to be listed in February, starting price is 699 US dollars; Spin 5 is expected to be available in March, starting price 899 US dollars.
