Nvidia launches flagship display with 144Hz refresh rate

Graphics card maker NVIDIA today announced new G-Sync flagship displays at CES 2020. The biggest feature of these displays is the use of mini-LEDs to build. The new flagship display provides deeper blacks, better contrast, and brighter colors.

The mini-LED works by turning on some LEDs and then turning off some LEDs, instead of using a backlight from the back of the panel similar to a normal LCD display. The mini-LED display is actually more similar to the effect of the OLED display. Of course, in some technical solutions, it may be better than the OLED display.

According to current rumors, Apple will also use mini-LED technology to build displays such as iPhone, iPad and Mac series products, but it seems that Nvidia rushed to launch such displays using the latest technology before Apple. In addition, Nvidia ’s new flagship displays all have 4K resolution and support a 144Hz refresh rate. At the same time, they also have a very powerful 1400 nits brightness.
