Your Phone app on Windows 10 now supports sending and receiving text messages
Microsoft is testing your mobile app in the Windows 10 19H1 Insider Preview, which is designed to make it easy for users to operate mobile devices from their PCs.
In the latest Insider Preview, Microsoft has not announced the update details of the application, but some users have found that they can now send and receive text messages through the computer.
Of course, this feature only supports Android devices and does not support Apple devices. Due to permissions issues, Apple devices can just read album photos through the app.
The features currently supported by the app:
At present, this application is still in the development stage, so the function is even being added gradually. For Android devices, it has been supported to read album photos and send and receive text messages.
To use the SMS function, you need to enable the right to read SMS and send SMS on your Android device. After you turn it on, you can use this new function smoothly.
If you receive a new SMS after connecting to the Android device, a notification will pop up in the Windows 10 Notification Center to facilitate the user to view or reply directly.
