Microsoft officially
released Windows 11 today and promised to provide free upgrades for Windows 10 users. This is very similar to the way that Windows 7 and Windows 8 users upgrade to Windows 10 for free. This new Windows 11 version will also be free for existing Windows 10 users.
The minimum hardware requirements for
Windows 11 are a 64-bit CPU, 4GB memory, and 64GB storage space. The graphics card supports DX12, supports UEFI Secure Boot, and TPMv2.0 chip. Windows 11 will be upgraded through Windows Update.

Windows 11 will include a new user interface, major changes to the start menu, and multi-tasking performance improvements and updates. It can even use Android apps through the Amazon Appstore.
Microsoft earns most of its Windows revenue through commercial and OEM licensing, and it’s not surprising that it provides free upgrades to existing Windows 10. Nevertheless, the free Windows 11 is still good news.
Microsoft did not disclose the exact release date, and according to Microsoft “Windows 11 will be available through a free upgrade for eligible Windows 10 PCs and on new PCs beginning this holiday.“
