Xbox Game Pass is upgrading its hardware architecture

The Xbox Game Pass cloud game service has been activated for some time. Players can play games on PC, iOS, and Android devices through the Chrome browser. It is quite convenient for individual players, but this service will have some limitations. For example, the game is based on the Xbox One hardware architecture. Microsoft has previously promised to update the server to technology based on the Xbox Series X hardware architecture but did not provide a specific timetable.

According to a report by Ars Technica, although Microsoft has not officially issued an announcement, the Xbox Game Pass cloud game service seems to have begun to replace the running hardware architecture. Some games should already be running based on the Xbox Series X hardware architecture which can now load quickly and have all the special effects of Xbox Series X.

As for why Microsoft has not issued an official announcement to explain the relevant situation, it may be that it is not fully prepared yet. Recently, Microsoft sent a statement to Kotaku that it is still constantly testing new features and making improvements to create a better Xbox cloud gaming experience. There will be instructions for upgrading and updating the cloud gaming service data center soon.

Microsoft also revealed that between late June and early July, new games will be added to Xbox Game Pass, including Worms Rumble, Iron Harvest (PC), Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered (Console and PC) EA Play, Prodeus (Game Preview) (PC) ID@Xbox, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts (Cloud), Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling, Gang Beasts, Immortal Realms: Vampire Wars and Limbo. Recently, Microsoft has been very concerned about the entire Xbox Game Pass service and has spared no effort to promote it on various occasions, and the update speed in all aspects is relatively fast.
