Windows Security prevents users from upgrading Windows 10 version 2004
In a known issue on the latest status page released by Microsoft, the company confirmed that a certain setting of the Windows Security app will affect users to upgrade to Windows 10 version 2004.
The reason for this problem is still Microsoft’s memory integrity settings, memory integrity and anti-tampering features often lead to incompatibility with certain software.
However, the solution is also very simple: users only need to actively close the memory integrity check to successfully upgrade, and then restore the memory integrity check after the upgrade.
Compatibility issues arise because some manufacturers’ graphics card drivers conflict with memory integrity checks, but memory integrity checks are a security feature after all.
Therefore, Microsoft recommends that you first download the latest version of the graphics card driver from the official website of the device manufacturer. You do not need to turn off the memory integrity check after the update.
At present, such as Intel, Nvidia and AMD have released a new version of the graphics card driver adapted to Windows 10 Version 2004.
Before upgrading, go to Settings – Update & Security – Windows Security -Device Security – Core isolation details -Turn off the memory integrity setting. After this operation, the memory integrity check is turned off and no longer affects the user to perform the upgrade.
