Windows Insider Preview project currently has approximately 16.5 million test members
Microsoft launched the Windows Insider Program in 2014. The original purpose of the project was to invite users to test Windows 10. With the operation of the project, Microsoft feels that it seems to be good and then expands, so there is now Office Insider and a test plan for the enterprise. However, in recent years, due to the frequent occurrence of the Windows 10 beta issue and even affected the official version, many users questioned whether the test plan has any meaning. Of course, even if it is being squandered, Microsoft will continue to operate the test plan. After all, it can still find a lot of bugs, and users can experience the latest features.
It's always a fun convo when someone asks me "How many managers have you had at MS?"

So how many fans are still participating in Microsoft’s testing program now? How many Microsoft engineers are still responsible for this test project? Microsoft said on Twitter that there are currently 10 engineering managers in charge of the test project, and the total number of users currently testing the project totals 16.5 million. This number has increased several times compared to a few years ago. Initially, the number of resident users of the Windows Insider project increased rapidly from 1 million to 5 million.
