Dona Sarkar said it was a temporary measure that Microsoft needed to digest feedback from Insider members to create a higher quality Windows 10 fall creator update for all Windows users. Moreover, Sarkar also said the Windows Insider project will be in the “near future” began to receive these native application updates.
Sarkar wrote in today’s blog post:
In order to provide the highest quality email application to Windows users as much as possible, we will pause testing the new e-mail application with Windows Insider users.
This means that Insider members can no longer continue to accept application updates through the Windows Store. Careful Insider users may have noticed that a variety of e-mail applications and recently published Photos application we are in the relevant tests, in this adjustment Insider users will be temporarily unable to access.
This is because some of the new features in our partial mail application can not be obtained through the Windows Store application update. It is critical for Insider users to get native applications that match the current Windows system. We are committed to Insider in the “near future” to start receiving application updates again.
As always, your feedback can help us improve the Windows experience and help us provide higher quality Windows 10 fall creator updates for all users.
