Windows 10 v1809 Pro and Home editions will reach end-of-support on May, 12
Windows 10 v1809, originally released in October 2018, was canceled by Microsoft due to severe file loss issues and relaunched after several months of extension.
This version is now in the security update support stage and is therefore relatively stable. At present, there are quite a few homes and business users using this version.
However, rebuilding and postponing the roll-out did not change Microsoft’s life cycle plan. As planned, Microsoft will end security support for this version on May 12.
Ending support means that Microsoft will no longer provide security updates to fix vulnerabilities, and users will continue to use this version with security risks.
Microsoft provides a regular support period of 18 months for each regular version of Windows 10, that is, Microsoft will not provide support for 18 months after its release.
However, Microsoft will also provide additional extended support for the Enterprise and Education Editions, while ordinary versions such as Home Edition, and Professional Edition do not have extended support.
Therefore, the end of support in May is mainly the home edition series and the professional edition series. Users who use these editions should arrange an upgrade plan to upgrade the new edition.
The current support time is less than three months, so the time is relatively loose. Users can upgrade to the latest Windows 10 version
