Windows 10 KB5007205 causes server systems to fail to use Microsoft Defender for Endpoint
Microsoft released the KB5007205 to Windows Server 2022 this month, causing problems for corporate IT administrators, and some devices cannot enable endpoint protection.
Microsoft Defender for Endpoint is Microsoft’s enterprise-level security solution that can centrally manage all device deployment strategies.
According to the support bulletin issued by Microsoft, the endpoint protection function of Windows Server Core cannot start or run normally after installing KB5007205.
This problem mainly affects the server core version and does not affect the desktop version. For example, Windows Server 2022 with a GUI interface is not affected by this problem.
At present, Microsoft is investigating the cause of the problem and there is no temporary solution for the time being, so companies that have already deployed the update can only continue to wait for the time being.
