This work has a better status symbol in File Explorer, which shows which files and folders are synchronized for offline use. The green check mark indicates that the item has been synchronized to the device. The green fixed flag shows that the user manually synchronizes the offline file, and the blank cloud icon shows that the file is in the cloud and not on the device. All applications in Windows 10 are able to access synchronized OneDrive files in this way because desktop clients store them directly in the OneDrive folder.
Microsoft plans to release its Windows 10 fall creator later this year and officially launched the OneDrive Files On-Demand feature.
