Windows 10 20H1 version name is set to Windows 10 Version 2004
We know that the current development work of Windows 10 20H1 version is near completion, and currently, Microsoft mainly fixes some known issues through the new version. The name above is calculated according to the previous rules, which should be Windows 10 Version 2003, but this name may cause confusion with the Windows server version. Because the server version already used Windows Server 2003, Microsoft decided to temporarily change the version name.
Microsoft wrote:
Eagle-eyed Windows Insiders will notice that that as of this build, 20H1 officially shows it is version 2004. We have chosen to use 2004 as the version to eliminate confusion with any past product names (such as Windows Server 2003).
So the final name of this version is set to Windows 10 Version 2004, which represents a new major update released around April 2020. It is interesting that according to previous rumors, Microsoft should release this version early next year, and its name should also be called Version 2001 or 2002. Unfortunately, for the time being, Microsoft did not disclose more information about the release of this version.
