Leak: Win32 and PWA applications can coexist on Windows 10X
At the Surface New Product Launch on October 2, Microsoft announced the new Windows 10X operating system. Although in a subsequent interview Microsoft executives said the system was designed for foldable devices and dual-screen devices. However, official documentation confirms that the system is equally suitable for traditional laptops. According to the documents disclosed recently, the Windows 10X operating system also supports Win32 applications. This is the first time that Win32 applications and Progressive Web Apps are mentioned in the documentation for Windows 10X. However, the screenshot information for running the Win32 application is not provided in the documentation.
“Office – Co-existence of Win32 apps and PWA (Progressive Web Apps) on Santorini; related to Shellification efforts,” the document reads. Windows 10X may be provided with Office PWA, but if PWA Can not meet their needs, users can download Win32 applications from the Microsoft website.
