Ultra Power, Ultra Personal: Minisforum’s Mini-PCs Reinvent the Desktop
Minisforum has announced the launch of its UH185 Ultra, UH155 Ultra, and UH125 Ultra mini PCs, representing the pinnacle of its 2024 flagship models. These devices are equipped with Intel’s latest generation Core Ultra processors and feature an innovative 4-inch secondary screen. This secondary display allows users to customize its content and functionality to suit their individual needs, offering enhanced possibilities for both work and entertainment and presenting a highly personalized appearance.
The new mini PCs are Minisforum’s first products to incorporate Intel’s Core Ultra series processors. The highest-tier model utilizes the formidable Core Ultra 9 185H with a 45W TDP, employing Intel’s 4-process technology. It includes cores based on the Redwood Cove architecture for performance cores and Crestmont architecture for efficiency cores, boasting a configuration of 6P+8E+2LPE, totaling 16 cores and 22 threads, with a peak turbo frequency of 5.1GHz. The integrated graphics feature a cutting-edge Alchemist Xe-LPG architecture with 8 Xe cores and a running frequency of 2.35GHz. The newly introduced NPU efficiently handles diverse AI tasks.
Another highlight of these products is the integrated 4-inch touchscreen, complemented by an FHD webcam. The accompanying stand allows for tilting of the screen and camera, making it suitable for video conferencing, use as an interactive system monitor, or even as a decorative piece. Notably, this mini PC also includes dual 5G RJ-45 ports and dual USB4 ports. Users can configure up to 96GB of DDR5-5600 memory through dual SO-DIMM slots, and the dual M.2 PCIe4.0 x4 slots provide ample storage expansion, further complemented by an SD card slot.
Additionally, Minisforum is introducing the HX200G model, a high-performance mini PC with discrete graphics. It is the first to feature the AMD R9 7945HX processor and AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT graphics card. This model boasts remarkable cooling capabilities and flexible power consumption settings. It uses dual liquid metal thermal compounds for both CPU and GPU and a cooling module that covers the entire motherboard. Equipped with four independent fans (for the CPU, GPU, system, and DDR/SSD), it provides robust cooling for all components.
