Ubuntu 18.10 Beta releases
Canonical today released the first public beta version of Ubuntu 18.10 (Cosmic Cuttlefish), and the official version is scheduled to be released on October 18, 2018. Ubuntu 18.10 Beta is equipped with some of the latest GNU/Linux technologies and open source software, based on the latest Linux 4.18 kernel, using the GNOME 3.30 desktop environment, with the latest graphics card stack based on Mesa 18.2.1. Also included are Firefox 62.0 and LibreOffice 6.1.
The official flavor version will also include the latest software. For example, the Lubuntu 18.10 Beta version equipped with the LXQt 0.13.0 desktop environment by default, the Ubuntu MATE 18.0 Beta equipped with the MATE 1.20.2 desktop environment, and the Kubuntu 18.10 Beta provided with the KDE Plasma 5.13.5 desktop environment.
