The Razer concept mask is officially named Razer Zephyr
At the CES 2021 exhibition at the beginning of this year, Razer announced a concept mask called Project Hazel, which is very cool. Although not all concept products will be mass-produced, Razer CEO Tan Min Liang confirmed in an interview in March that this high-tech mask will be put into formal production.
Razer Zephyr is an N95 medical-grade respirator with a waterproof and scratch-resistant shell made of recycled plastic. A detachable and rechargeable active ventilator and a high bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE) smart cabin are used, which can adjust the airflow to obtain the best ventilation effect. It has an active air cooling and adjustment function. The mask will release exhaled carbon dioxide to prevent it from accumulating in the mask while allowing cold air to enter. The wireless quick refill box can disinfect the mask with the disinfection of ultraviolet rays.
Because Razer Zephyr has built-in microphones and amplifiers, it uses “VoiceAmp” technology to allow users to better communicate with the outside world. In addition, its transparent design allows others to see the user’s facial expressions and even read lip language. If the user is in the dark, the internal lighting of the mask will be automatically activated, and it can be used with Razer Chroma RGB lights.
Razer said that as people need to wear masks for a long time, and disposable masks are not sustainable products, it has advanced this plan, but has not yet determined the specific release time, price of Razer Zephyr.
