The CPU of the AMD 4700S kit comes from PS5, memory bandwidth is twice as high as current mainstream systems
Before that, AMD’s 4700S kit with 16GB GDDR6 video memory has been speculated that it is either the Xbox Series X or the product of the processor used on the PS5 after shielding the display. Now the conclusion is reached. The South Korean website Bodnara tested the AMD 4700S kit. After disassembling and seeing the actual CPU, it can be determined that it is a PS5 processor.
The southbridge chip of AMD 4700S is AMD A77E FCH. This FCH is the same as the one used on the previous AMD A9-9820 kit, and this processor is used on the Xbox One codenamed “Durango”. This is why it was speculated that AMD 4700S is the Xbox Series X processor.
Memory bandwidth and latency test, it is obvious that AMD 4700S memory bandwidth that uses GDDR6 graphics memory as memory is much higher than dual-channel DDR4-3200, but the memory latency is also quite high.
AMD 4700S does not have a core display and can only be used with a standalone display, but the PCI-E slot on the motherboard has only the bandwidth level of PCI-E 2.0 x4. They are equipped with a Radeon 550 graphics card, which has higher performance than the UHD 750 in Core i7-11700.
