Horizon Zero Dawn, released in August 2020, has been performing extremely well. The action role-playing game has sold more than 2.39 million copies on the PC platform and earned more than $60 million; the PC version of Days Gone, released on May 18, 2021, sold 852,000 copies and earned $22.7 million; God of War, released on January 14, 2022, sold 971,000 copies and grossed $26.2 million.
In Jim Ryan’s view, the sales of these once-PlayStation exclusive games have grown significantly after the PC version was launched. In fiscal 2020, Sony’s PC game revenue was $35 million, by fiscal 2021, that figure has grown to $80 million year over year. Sony believes this growth will continue throughout fiscal 2022 and beyond, which is expected to reach $300 million in fiscal 2022.
Jim Ryan said in an interview with the media that he will work closely with Nixxes Software to launch more exclusive games on the
PlayStation platform on the PC platform.
