Samsung’s new patent leaks: wrap-around display smartphone, equipped with S Pen
In April 2019, Xiaomi launched its first wrap-around concept phone, MIX Alpha, at that time. With its unique design, this Xiaomi concept machine has attracted the attention of the outside world, but unfortunately, this model has not yet been fully mass-produced and released. Interestingly, according to recent letsgodigital reports, Samsung’s new Galaxy phone shape patent exposure, from the patent map, this phone is similar to the Xiaomi MIX Alpha, using a wrap-around screen design.
From the patent image, this new Samsung Galaxy wrap-around screen is equipped with a front camera on the top of the screen and an S Pen stylus. It is worth mentioning that letsgodigital also specially made a rendering of the Galaxy wrap-around screen phone based on Samsung’s patent map. The Samsung model under the rendering is wrapped in the screen, and the screen ratio is very exaggerated. The MIX Alpha released by Xiaomi in 2019 has a screen ratio of 180.6%, the camera bar on the back of the fuselage is made of ceramic material, and the upper and lower borders are made of titanium alloy.
At present, only the appearance can be understood, because the mobile phone is still in the patent publication stage, and it is still uncertain whether this Samsung Galaxy wrap-around display mobile phone will be mass-produced. But if it will be released in mass production, this phone will inevitably be equipped with top-level hardware configuration to match its high-end positioning.
