Samsung released Galaxy Book4 Edge series notebooks
Recently, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book4 Edge series laptops, proclaiming them “designed for AI.” Available in 14-inch and 16-inch variants, both models feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite processor and a 3K OLED display. They will be available from June 18 in France, Germany, Italy, Korea, Spain, the UK, and the US.
The dimensions of the Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 and 16 are 312.3 x 223.8 x 10.9mm and 355.4 x 250.4 x 12.3mm, respectively, with the bodies weighing approximately 1.16kg and 1.55kg, available in gemstone blue. The screens are 14-inch and 16-inch OLED displays, both with a resolution of 2880×1800, a 16:10 aspect ratio, supporting a 120Hz VRR variable refresh rate, and a peak brightness of up to 500 nits with HDR enabled. The display covers 120% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and supports 10-point multi-touch.
Both laptops are equipped with the Snapdragon X Elite processor. The Galaxy Book4 Edge 14 features the X1E-80-100 processor, while the Edge 16 offers a choice between the X1E-80-100 and the higher frequency X1E-84-100, both configurations featuring 4+8 cores. On Geekbench, the X1E-80-100 scored 2792 in single-core and 14584 in multi-core tests, with the X1E-84-100 scores yet to be determined. Both models come with 16GB of memory. The Edge 14 offers a 512GB SSD, whereas the Edge 16 is available with either a 512GB or 1TB SSD. They are powered by 55.9 Wh and 61.8 Wh batteries, respectively, and include a 65W Type-C power adapter.
The Galaxy Book4 Edge 14/16 features a 1080P full HD camera, dual array microphones, and four speakers (the Edge 14 has two 4W + two 2W speakers, while the Edge 16 has two 5W + two 2W speakers). The ports include two USB 4.0 ports, one HDMI 2.1 port (supporting 4K@60Hz), and a 3.5mm audio/microphone jack, with the Edge 16 additionally offering one USB 3.2 port and a microSD card reader.
