Samsung launched Galaxy XCover FieldPro, a new rugged smartphone
Samsung this week launched a rugged smartphone, the Galaxy Xcover FieldPro, designed for government and emergency personnel. Xcover FieldPro smartphone ship with MIL-STD-810G compliant military-grade rugged, shock-proof and IP68 waterproof and dustproof.
Galaxy Xcover FieldPro uses Samsung’s previous Galaxy S9 parts and design, which has a 5.1-inch QHD flat panel display with a resolution of 2560×1440 and a pixel density of 576PPI. This device is pre-installed with Android O operating system, but Samsung has clearly stated that it will support upgrading the operating system to Android Q.
Galaxy Xcover FieldPro uses the same processor Exynos 9810 like the Galaxy S9, 10nm process, with 4 x 2.7 GHz Mongoose M3 and 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU core and Mali-G72 MP18 GPU. The back has a fingerprint reader. The device’s internal battery capacity is 4500mAh, compared to 3000mAh for the Galaxy S9 and 3400mAh for the Galaxy S10.
