Samsung Electronics laboratory showcases the fastest 5G speed

Samsung Electronics released a press release on the official website today announcing that Samsung Labs has achieved the fastest 5G speed demonstration so far, this demonstration is achieved through millimeter-wave technology.

Samsung Electronics mentioned that the two devices in the lab reached the fastest speed in the industry at “8.5 Gbps” with an average transmission rate of 4.3 Gbps. The core technologies used in the demonstration were carrier aggregation and MU-MIMO.

The main difference between this demonstration and most of the 5G services currently in use is that it uses the millimeter wave spectrum. Mobile operators using networks using this spectrum can provide users with faster network connection speeds, and can also provide previous New services never provided in the mobile Internet, such as AR distance learning, 8K online video, VR teleconferencing, etc. These services that previously seemed impossible to achieve on the mobile Internet, with the popularity of 5G millimeter wave technology, will become possible.

At present, many countries including Japan, South Korea, and the United States have allocated a 5G millimeter wave spectrum to their mobile operators. Two of these countries have already started the commercial process of using a 5G millimeter wave spectrum.
