Samsung confirms it will host a Galaxy Unpacked launch event in Seoul, South Korea
Samsung has subtly hinted at hosting their mid-year Galaxy Unpacked event in late July this year in Seoul, South Korea, during which it is anticipated that new models of foldable-screen phones will be unveiled.
The chosen venue for this gathering is the COEX convention center, nestled in the Samseong-dong of Gangnam. The vicinity boasts the so-called “Tehran Valley,” an area teeming with various Korean IT enterprises located along Tehran Road. The ancient Buddhist temple Bongeunsa also adorns the neighborhood, a testament to Seoul’s harmonious fusion of past, present, and future developments on display for the world.
In the words of TM Roh, the President of Samsung’s mobile experience business, hosting the Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul holds a special significance. It underscores the interpretation of Samsung’s innovative ideas through foldable screen phones and promises a reimagination of the future of mobile experiences.
Barring unforeseen circumstances, it is expected that Samsung will reveal the new Galaxy Z Fold 5. Simultaneously, the announcement of the new Galaxy Z Flip 5 is also anticipated. However, whether there will be a complete overhaul in the design of the foldable screen or the introduction of different forms of new foldable screen phones, remains unconfirmed at present.
Beyond mobile phones, Samsung is likely to concurrently update their smart wearable devices, potentially incorporating a physical rotating dial back into the Galaxy Watch smartwatch.
