Report: Samsung may release Galaxy Fold 2 in August
Samsung officially released the world-famous folding screen phone Galaxy Fold on February 20 last year. This phone uses an inward-folding body design, which has brought enough to the smartphone market that has been occupied by candy bar phones for a long time.
But unfortunately, because the folding screen technology was not mature at that time, many evaluation machines sent by Samsung to the technology media encountered serious screen problems, leading Samsung to temporarily suspend the Galaxy Fold’s listing plan and return to the remanufacture.
Earlier this year, we got the news that Samsung will hold a new product launch in August this year when Samsung will release Galaxy Note 20 series phones and Galaxy Fold 2, but unfortunately, we encountered a serious new coronavirus pneumonia epidemic. As a result, the productivity of the world has dropped a lot, and it also makes us wonder if the conference can be held as scheduled.

Launch Date – We think it will be announced with the Galaxy Note Series which has been happening annually in August since 2015. We would expect shipments to start from September— Ross Young (@DSCCRoss) April 27, 2020
Recently, however, a Korean media reported in the news that fans of Samsung Galaxy Fold need not be sad, because Samsung is still expected to release Galaxy Fold 2 in the third quarter.
The paper said that their report was based on Samsung recently placing a large number of production orders for Galaxy Fold 2 core components, so from the perspective of product production cycle reasoning, Samsung is still expected to release Galaxy Fold 2 in August this year.
According to our earlier report, due to the increased maturity of the folding screen technology and the decline in the prices of some related components, the price of the Galaxy Fold 2 will be lower than that of the first generation. UTG ultra-thin glass is used as the screen material and the stylus that will support the Samsung Galaxy Note series.
