Report: mobile data traffic has increased by 46% between 2020Q1 and 2021Q1
In recent years, the frequency of people using smartphones to surf the Internet has become higher and higher. A recent Ericsson Mobility Report report shows that from the first quarter of 2020 to the first quarter of 2021, mobile data traffic has increased by 46%. The report also mentioned that by the end of 2021, there will be approximately 580 million 5G users in the world, which has more than doubled the number of users (220 million) at the end of 2020. By the end of 2026, it is expected to reach 3.5 billion users. This is an amazing growth rate, which indicates that the 5G penetration rate will increase substantially in the next few years. Most regions are trying to popularize the sub-6GHz frequency band or 5G millimeter wave technology.
